New Beginnings & Old Friends

Janet is home & it's as if she never left. She brought home a few souvenirs & began making nectar.

 

She's made a couple of batches now & they sell well, though they're not worth much. It's new & fun though, so she'll keep working at it just the same.

 

Nikia has earned her second celebrity star (finally). At this rate she'll earn that 5th star in her afterlife, though it's not easy when the highest star celeb is your own sister (Yes, Janet always manages to be one star ahead, no idea why).

 

The biggest news would be this:

 

Hm... either something was wrong with those pancakes or Janet brought home a bigger souvenir than crappy French relics...

Holy cow-plants!

 

Yep, Janet got up to more than I had alluded to in France. This is Lillian, Yves daughter. The pregnancy went well & I chose Virtuoso & Brave for this little one.

 

D'aw... Nikia likes being an auntie.

 

Nikia is now on her path to become a director.

 



And, apparently, has taken to jacking cars. I seriously have no idea where she got this car & she also has a Yamashoto Evasion in her inventory. I'm just waiting for the owners to notice their cars are missing...

Nothing else is really happening. Every day just kinda runs into a another with Nikia working, Janet tending to the babes & gardening. Though the frost has returned so Janet has more time to devote to the house & teaching the kiddos.

Naturally, Nikia decided to be in the center of attention at Lillian's birthday party.

Lillian is now a toddler. She has her daddy's nose & her auntie's blonde hair.

Her favorite past time is throwing tantrums... I think she's secretly Nikia's daughter & Rebecca is Janet's. In fact, Nikia often tends to Lillian & Janet to Rebecca.

Nikia & Janet have aged up to Adult.

Janet was home with the kids & Nikia was at Danielle & Richter's house when she aged up. Can you guess which twin is now having a midlife crisis?? Don't second guess yourself, it's obvious: Nikia.

Betwixt the aging of Lillian & the twins Rebecca aged up into a child. So, any guesses?

This would be Nikia with dark hair & both candidates have black hair. However, I'm going to just let this picture sink in for a bit in case anyone wants to venture a guess. Honestly, if I didn't know who her dad is I wouldn't be able to tell.

Making Progress

The girls are steadily making progress, but nothing super exciting happened for a while so, naturally, I had to stir the pot. And so, I'm gonna tell you ALL about it.

A typical day for the Maxwell ladies is comprised of Nikia getting up, eating leftover pancakes for breakfast & running off to work leaving Janet to care for the house & little Rebecca. And Janet is only too happy to oblige.

First of all, Rebecca aged up into a super cute toddler.

 

Who is actually pretty easy care. Mind you, I do have the walker & playpen (with the mod to make them realistic) so it's super easy to plop her in one & let Janet clean house or garden. I try not to let toddlers wander too much since I wouldn't in real life. Just sayin'.

Now, Janet has been so good to Nikia & I've actually grown a little more attached to her since I play with her all day while Nikia is in the rabbithole. Besides that, she's going to be the nectar-maker... so I sent her off for a small vacay in France.

 

... And I'm unsure if France is ready for Nikia.

France! Woo! Janet was pretty stoked to be there & decided to take in the sights.

 

 

 The park was a natural starting point, surrounded by little shops & a cantina.

 

 

The first stop was the general store since she *had* to have an incense burner. She also bought a Chest of Alouette to store seeds in.

 

Next was the relic shoppe. Nothing really interested her much, but she bought a couple of cheapy French vases to give as gifts.

The bookstore was a hit with Janet, of course. She decided to park herself there for quite a while... until I got bored & urged her onward.

Only you would come to France to read.

 



Next up was the Art Gallery.

 

Naturally I got bored in 2 seconds there. Off to the Nectary!!!

Janet was very impressed with the Nectary. She kept 'Ooh-ing' & 'Ahh-ing' at all the cases of nectar; then she tried some.

And that was the beginning of something great, apparently. She drank a lot of nectar.

I mean a lot of nectar.

So, once she was effectively soused she stumbled back to the base camp to sleep it off.

The next day was pretty much the same, though she decided to mingle with some of the locals. Most were cordial at best, some downright loony, but two really peaked her interest.

Laurent Durand was the first. He was happily fishing when Janet decided to accost him & trade kitchen secrets. It was an instant attraction. They talked for hours, no flirting (he's happily married) but they're now good friends.

The second was Yves Bernard.

Awww... Floaty hearts.

 

Lust at first sight. These two BSed for *hours*. From mid afternoon until the wee hours of the next morning. And in those hours, it got interesting. Went from chit-chat to jokes to expressing fondness to 'Oh my... you are sexy..."

 

Girlfriend? What girlfriend??

 

Then dear Janet made her move & he was more than accepting. I guess Mannon Goddard doesn't mean as much to him as he thought, eh?

Last day in France. Janet decides to buy a nectar maker, some grapes & try some Ratatouille. Then she wants to hang out with Yves. Sure... why not?

These two love to talk about food.

 

He was just chilling in his house so she decided to visit him & make conversation, but it quickly went from trading recipes to trading other things...

 

Geez Janet. I suppose even the helper needs love, right? So what if it's a guy in a whole other country you met the day before. Go ahead, have your fun.

And so that's how the vacation ended, with Janet finding forbidden love in France.

Back to reality...

 









 





A Lot Happens in a Little Bit of Time

Yeah, so, a lot has happened in a little bit of time. It all started with a party; just a little get together Nikia wanted & I invited everyone she knew (which ain't a whole lot, honestly). She'll need friends to advance her charisma (& her career/fame) so I figured the more the merrier!

So, everyone's having a great time & BAM! Hearts pop up over Nikia's head & a message from one of her actual friends saying he thinks she's hot. Why this hadn't come up before, I dunno, but I took it as a sign from the Pixel Fates.

So, this is very exciting & I have them chat it up, a little flirting... but then Javed has to go. Sad day.

 

Anyhow, the party is still going into the wee hours & Nikia sits down to watch some tv with the folks left... Hearts float up & someone else thinks she's hot! Whoa! Two? Can it really be true?

Unfortunately this guy looks like the Joker, but hey, I popped him into CAS to see what's behind the makeup & was pleasantly surprised.

 

Dang...

 

So, yeah, two potential victim... *ahem* I mean baby daddies. Both of which aren't hideous. Happy day!!!

 

Now, in the last two days one of those guys has been calling Nikia non-stop & was even the subject of one of her more lucrative opportunities. I thought this was also a sign from the Pixel Fates & decided to invite him over, send Janet to the tavern & get a start on Generation 2.

 

 

Uh oh...

 

Now, here's the question... which guy did I choose? I'm not gonna say right now, just because I want to see if there's a distinct resemblance & you folks can guess who it is. I mean, it's a 50-50 chance, right?

Nikia seems happy.

 

And Janet was thrilled.

The pregnancy went smoothly & I chose 2 traits for the little one (artistic & genius).

 

Everything else is going as expected: Janet's garden is growing, though the transition from fall to spring brought frost & halted her production for a bit. Luckily, her bees are producing plenty of perfect quality wax & honey at this point. I have obviously expanded their little house a bit, adding a laundry room & making their bedroom bigger, forsaking the bunk beds for a double bed.

 

They're still mostly broke, but there's a steady increase in income. Hopefully a trip to France will happen before too long so Janet can start making nectar. (And hopefully Nikia won't just drink it all...)

 

The First Few Days

Ok so, I was pretty much playing all day in between housework so I had lots of time to play these ladies today. I'll post the highlights.

First night Nikia decides she wants to go out on the town so I make her drag little Janet with her to the Karaoke bar.

They started to sing a duet & were totally into it... They were *awful*!!!

 

But, you know, they had fun.

 

I tend to agree with Chad's opinion of their singing though. Hideous.

However, the real surprise came when I let them do their own thing. Nikia went upstairs to play some pool & guess who came out of her shell to sing more karaoke??

Sing it, girl!

 

Mm hm. Quiet little Janet.

Upstairs Chad Luck decided to try his luck with Nikia. He struck up a convo & began to flirt.



With little result other than Nikia rejecting him repeatedly & feeling 'creeped out'.

The next day was pretty typical, but the two ladies finally made enough to get that coveted washing machine! Woot! Clean laundry! Janet's garden is coming along nicely, & Nikia gets a promotion... & wants to go out again, despite not having slept.

Naturally, I send them out tout suite. This time to the good ol' Rodeo a Go Go.

Nikia heads straight to the mechanical bull & starts to ride that bad boy like a pro.

Janet looks less than impressed...

 

Janet decides to leave her crazy sister to her devices & heads upstairs to play some pool with Mimi Olivia, whom she met at the grocery store in her earlier adventures.

 

 

Meanwhile Nikia has stripped down to her skivvies & is now riding the bull like a madwoman.

 

Go home Nikia. You're drunk!

 

So, Leisure Day came & the twins got invited to a shindig at Madeline Buckshot's place. It was pretty boring except when Madeline decided to harass poor Janet with her cane.

 

 

Crazy old bat.

Then they decided to head to the Autumn Festival & pig out on some pie, talk to a few folks & head home. A pretty uneventful night all in all.

That's an attractive look girls.

 

Oh! Then there was the buglar who stole their shower, of all things. A used shower... Must be slim pickings in the criminal world these days.
